Steps to fix red lightning bolt light (electronic throttle)

Identify the symbol: a lightning bolt between two brackets is the Electronic Throttle Control warning on Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep vehicles.
Expect reduced power: the car often drops into limp mode with this light on, capping how hard it will accelerate in order to protect itself.
