Bosch dishwasher E24

The Bosch dishwasher E24 error means the machine can't drain — it is a blocked-drain fault, and the usual culprit is a clogged filter assembly at the bottom of the tub. On a Bosch dishwasher the E24 code builds up as food debris and grease pack the filter and back up the drain path. Show SightLine the tub floor and the filter and a plumber persona walks you through clearing the Bosch E24 error.

Steps to fix bosch dishwasher e24

  1. Turn the dishwasher off and scoop out the standing water with a cup and a sponge.
  2. Lift out the bottom rack and twist out the cylindrical filter assembly at the tub floor; rinse away trapped food, grease, and grit under the tap.
  3. Clear the sump area under the filter of any glass, labels, or debris that could block the drain opening.
  4. Check the drain hose under the sink for a kink, and confirm the garbage-disposal drain knockout plug was removed if the dishwasher drains through the disposal.
  5. Reseat the filter (twist until it locks), close up, and run a short cycle to confirm it drains.
  6. If E24 persists with a clean filter and clear hose, the drain path is blocked deeper or the pump is weak — call an appliance-repair pro.

Safety first: if a step calls for gas, a main water or sewer line, a service panel or main breaker, or a sealed refrigerant system, stop and call a licensed pro — Repair Copilot will tell you when you're there.
