Frigidaire oven F10 error

Steps to fix frigidaire oven f10 error

  1. SAFETY FIRST: if the oven is heating when you didn't turn it on — or won't stop heating — switch it OFF at the breaker right now and leave it off; a stuck relay can push it past 600°F even while the error is showing.
  2. With the oven cool, cut power at the breaker for 5 minutes and then restore it — a one-time control glitch sometimes clears with a full reset.
  3. If F10 appeared during or right after a self-clean cycle, let everything cool completely before judging — the extreme cleaning heat can trip it once.
  4. Watch the next normal bake: if F10 returns at ordinary temperatures, the oven temperature sensor — the thin probe at the back of the cavity — has likely drifted or failed.
  5. Do NOT keep cooking with the oven between F10 events — a runaway-heat fault is exactly the kind you don't gamble on.
  6. Testing the sensor and replacing it or the control board means working inside a 240V appliance — that's a licensed appliance tech's job.
