LG washer OE error
The LG washer OE error means the machine is draining too slowly or not at all — OE stands for a drain-out fault. On an LG front-load or top-load washer the OE code is almost always a clogged drain-pump filter, a kinked or clogged drain hose, or a drain line pushed too far down the standpipe. Point your camera at the pump filter and hose and SightLine helps you clear the LG OE error yourself.

Steps to fix lg washer oe error
- Unplug the washer before working near the pump or draining any water.
- Open the small drain-pump cover at the lower-front corner, set a pan and towels underneath, and slowly drain the water through the little emergency hose.
- Twist out the pump filter and clear lint, coins, and debris; make sure the impeller behind it turns freely.
- Straighten the drain hose behind the machine and confirm it is not crushed against the wall or frozen (in a cold garage).
- Check the drain hose is inserted no more than a few inches into the standpipe — shoved too deep it siphons and mis-reads as OE.
- Plug in and run a spin/drain; if OE comes back with everything clear, the drain pump is failing and should be replaced by a pro.
Safety first: if a step calls for gas, a main water or sewer line, a service panel or main breaker, or a sealed refrigerant system, stop and call a licensed pro — Repair Copilot will tell you when you're there.
