LG washer UE error
The LG washer UE error (or uE) means the load is unbalanced — the washer keeps adding water and re-tumbling to even out the drum before it will spin. On an LG washer the UE code is usually a small or lopsided load, a bulky single item, or a machine that is not sitting level. Show SightLine the drum and the machine's feet and SightLine walks you through clearing the LG UE error.

Steps to fix lg washer ue error
- Open the lid or door and redistribute the laundry evenly around the drum, untangling any twisted sheets or towels.
- If you are washing one bulky item (a comforter, a hoodie, a bath mat), add a couple of similar-weight items so the drum can balance.
- For a very small load, add a few more items — too little laundry can't settle evenly and trips UE.
- Check the machine isn't rocking: press down on each corner, and if it wobbles, level it by adjusting the screw feet until it sits solid.
- Confirm the washer isn't tilted forward or back — a machine sitting on an uneven floor throws the drum off balance every spin.
- Restart the spin; if UE persists on a balanced, level machine with a normal load, the drum's suspension or balance sensor may need a pro to check.
Safety first: if a step calls for gas, a main water or sewer line, a service panel or main breaker, or a sealed refrigerant system, stop and call a licensed pro — Repair Copilot will tell you when you're there.
