Samsung washer 4E error

The Samsung washer 4E error (shown as 4C on newer models) means the machine can't get enough water — it is a water-supply fault. On a Samsung washer the 4E code is usually a closed supply valve, a kinked fill hose, or a clogged inlet mesh screen. Steps to fix samsung washer 4e error

  1. Confirm both water faucets behind the washer are opened all the way — a partly-closed valve is the number-one 4E cause.
  2. Straighten any kink or crush in the hot and cold fill hoses running behind the machine.
  3. Turn OFF the supply valves, unscrew the fill hoses at the washer, and pull the small mesh filter screens inside the inlet ports — rinse out sediment and scale.
  4. Reattach the hoses hand-tight plus a nudge, turn the water back on, and check for drips at the connections.
  5. In freezing weather, check the hoses or valves aren't frozen — thaw them before running the machine.
  6. If water reaches the washer freely but 4E stays, the inlet valve on the machine has failed and should be replaced by a pro.
